Modern Jazz is a fun and energetic dance form that encourages individual style, performance quality and technique. This is complimented through the use of a broad range of musical styles including pop, contemporary and musical theatre.

Southwell Dance School follows the International Dance Teachers Association syllabus with pupils accepted from the age of seven or when they progress to Grade One Ballet.

This class is ideal for pupils to study alongside Ballet especially if they wish to pursue further education or a career in the performing arts.

Starting in September 2014 the school will be offering a 'Mini Modern Jazz and Tap' class.
